Roy Daykin Joins CampusWorks’ Executive Advisory Board
We are thrilled to announce that Roy Daykin, who recently retired from his role as chief financial officer (CFO) at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) in Calgary, Alberta, has joined CampusWorks’ Executive Advisory Board.
A seasoned leader with over 35 years of experience in post-secondary education, Roy held several pivotal roles at some of Canada’s most respected institutions. During his six years at SAIT, Roy made significant contributions to the institution’s operational success. He was instrumental in overseeing finance, technology, human resources, facilities, ancillary services, and capital planning. His leadership ensured that SAIT’s operations were not only efficient but also closely aligned with the institute’s core mission of putting students first.
Prior to SAIT, he served as vice president of employee and corporate services at Okanagan College and vice president of administration and community engagement at Langara College in British Columbia. During his time at Langara, he served as president & CEO pro-tem for a year.
“Roy’s extensive background in institutional leadership, financial management, and strategic operations will be invaluable as we advance our mission to help institutions thrive,” said Dr. Joseph Rossmeier, Vice President of CampusWorks’ Advisory Services.
Roy is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University. His scholarly work includes teaching experience in accounting and numerous publications on topics such as process improvement and cost management in the post-secondary sector.
As a member of CampusWorks’ Executive Advisory Board, Roy will provide strategic guidance to help financial leaders navigate operational challenges and enhance sustainability. His deep understanding of institutional operations, combined with his passion for improving educational processes, will be critical as we work together to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of colleges and universities across the United States and Canada.
