Liz Murphy

Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board

Liz Murphy joined CampusWorks in 2011 bringing with her 22 years of experience at Datatel (now Ellucian) where she most recently served as the chief client officer. Liz is the immediate past president of the Alliance for Innovation & Transformation (AFIT) and a board member of both Community College Business Officers (CCBO) and Quality Matters. Liz earned her BA from the University of Scranton and her MA in Executive Management from the University of Maryland.


Peter Xeinis

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Xeinis joined CampusWorks in 2016 after spending 20 years at Lavipharm, where he most recently served as vice president of finance and administration. Peter earned both his BS in Business Administration and MBA in Finance from the University of Bridgeport.



Keith Myers

Sr. Vice President, Client Development

Keith Myers joined CampusWorks in 2017 bringing with him a client-first approach that consistently enables him to exceed customer expectations and deliver exceptional results. Prior to CampusWorks, Keith worked in business development roles at N2N Services, Graduation Alliance, and Socle Education. Keith holds a BS in Business from Bowling Green State University.


Dan Silverburg

Sr. Vice President, Client Experience

Dan Silverburg joined CampusWorks in 2018, bringing with him 25 years of experience increasing customer satisfaction and managing cross-functional teams within higher education organizations across North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia. Dan has previously held positions at Burning Glass Technologies, Cengage Learning, IBM, and McGraw-Hill Education among others.


Natalya Boock

Chief Operating Officer

Natalya Boock joined CampusWorks in 2005 after serving as a marketing associate at Sanofi-Pasteur. She earned both her BS in Business Management and MBA from the University of Scranton.




Beverly Fratesi

Vice President, Client Development

Beverly Fratesi joined CampusWorks in 2020 bringing with her a transformational leadership approach that helps higher education institutions align technology with their strategic goals. Prior to CampusWorks, Beverly worked in technology leadership roles at Ellucian, Delta State University, and Mississippi State University. Beverly holds a BBA in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Delta State University and an ITIL certification.


Jon Hazelgren

Vice President, Client Development

Jon Hazelgren joined CampusWorks in 2018 after spending more than a decade in sales and business development roles within higher education. Prior to CampusWorks, Jon was the director of sales and marketing at EnrollmentRx. Before that, he held business development leadership roles at Socle Education, CampusLogic, Xerox Education Services, and Citibank. Jon has a BA in Communications & Advertising from Brigham Young University and MBA from Westminster College.


Joseph Rossmeier, Ph.D.

Vice President, Client Development

Dr. Joseph Rossmeier joined CampusWorks in 2015 after spending 13 years as the vice president for technology services and CIO at Prince George's Community College, MD. Joe earned a BS in Industrial Technologies/Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin, MA in Sociology/Personnel Services from Michigan State University, and Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Michigan.


Juan Garcia

Vice President, Client Development

Juan Garcia joined CampusWorks in 2021 after serving nine years at ACT. Juan brings a multi-cultural approach to higher education, along with his passion for student access, equity and success. Juan is fluent in Spanish, originally from Peru and is a graduate from the Harvard Business School, Executive Education program. Juan holds a BS Business Administration from Universidad de Lima, and has a certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Higher Education from the University of Michigan.


Kevin David, Ph.D.

Portfolio Director

Dr. Kevin David joined CampusWorks in 2018, bringing with him over 15 years of higher education experience both in the classroom and in administrative leadership roles. Prior to joining CampusWorks, Kevin spent seven years at Tulsa Community College, most recently as provost and associate vice president for institutional effectiveness. Kevin earned a BA in Psychology from SUNY Cortland and both an MS and PhD in Developmental Psychology from University of Oklahoma.


Dan Duffy

Portfolio Director

Dan Duffy joined CampusWorks in 2018, bringing with him three decades of experience providing IT leadership and support to higher education institutions across the country. Dan previously held positions at Seattle University, University of the Incarnate Word, University of Washington, Suffolk University, and Dean College, among others. He earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees in Computer Information Systems from Suffolk University. 


Byron Sayres

Portfolio Director

Byron Sayres joined CampusWorks in 2015, bringing with him over a decade of IT leadership and support experience. Previously, Byron served as the director of IT at Alderson-Broaddus University. He has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Management from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Chicago and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).

Mary Fifield, PhD

Dr. Mary Fifield served as president of Bunker Hill Community College, MA and Harrisburg Area Community College, PA. During her tenure at each institution, each college was selected as the national recipient for achievement of equity and opportunity for persons of color and women by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). Her 45-year community college service includes experience as academic vice president, dean of instruction, department chair, and faculty member. Currently, Dr. Fifield works with other colleges aspiring to increase student success and completion as an Achieving the Dream Leadership Coach. She holds a BA from Clarke College, an MFA from Pratt Institute, and a PhD from Saint Louis University. 

Cary Israel, JD

Dr. Cary Israel is the district president emeritus of Collin College, TX, a multi-campus operation serving more than 52,000 students annually. Cary served as president of Collin College from 1999 through 2015. He previously served as president of Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey, president of the Illinois Community College System, and president of Front Range Community College in Colorado. Cary earned a BA with highest honors from Michigan State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy Law School.


Frederick V. Moore, JD

Fred Moore served as president of Buena Vista University for twenty-two years and was named president emeritus in 2017. He is currently a search consultant with AGB Search. Prior to his service at BVU, Fred was vice president for development and general counsel at North Carolina Wesleyan College. He has served on the boards of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, the Council of Independent Colleges, and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning. He holds a Juris Doctor with Honors, an MBA, and a BA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 


George Pernsteiner

George Pernsteiner was the president of the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO) association from 2013-2017. Prior to that, he was chancellor of the Oregon University System from 2004-2013. Previously in his career, he served as vice chancellor for administrative services at the University of California, Santa Barbara; vice president for finance and administration at Portland State University; and vice provost and chief financial officer at the University of Oregon. He holds degrees from Seattle University and the University of Washington.



Christine Hammond, PhD

Dr. Christine M. Hammond served as President of Mid Michigan College. Prior to that, she was Chief Academic Officer for North Central Michigan College. Dr. Hammond's career has encompassed numerous leadership experiences in student and academic affairs across a variety of institutional settings with significant expertise in institutional research, curriculum alignment and development, and strategic planning. President Hammond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Thiel College, a Master of Arts degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University.

David Buettner, PhD

Dr. David Buettner has 40 years of higher education experience. Most recently, he served as interim president of North Iowa Area Community College in 2013, where he was president from 1981-2001. He also served as president of Fox Valley Technical College from 2001-2008. Dr. Buettner earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University, a master's degree from the University of Illinois, and his Ph.D. from Ohio State University.



Del Anderson Handy

Del Anderson Handy has 27 years of higher education experience in California. Early in her career, Del served as vice president of Skyline College and later became president of San Jose City College. In 1995, Anderson became the first woman president of the 77,000-student City College of San Francisco (CCSF), from which she retired in 1998. Del earned both her BS in early childhood education and teaching and her MSW in social work and community organizing from San Diego State University.

Norm Nielsen, PhD

Dr. Norm Nielsen was the president of Kirkwood Community College for 20 years before retiring in 2005. In 2013, Dr. Nielsen served as interim president of Mount Mercy University. He currently serves as chair of the Buena Vista University Board of Trustees. He received his bachelor's degree in social sciences from Buena Vista University, his master's degree in educational administration from Iowa State University, and a Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Iowa.



Elizabeth Rocklin

Elizabeth Rocklin has been serving community and technical colleges for over two decades. She was the first director of board services for the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT), where she spent ten years helping more than 160 community colleges with executive search. Prior to that, she was a search principal in the education practice of Korn/Ferry International and served in managerial roles at the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and the Association for Career and Technical Education. She is also the president emerita of CampusWorks Community College Division.


David Rutledge

David Rutledge most recently served as state representative of Michigan's 54th House District, a position to which he was first elected in 2010. Prior to this, David served three 6-year terms on the Board of Trustees at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 2003, he was elected Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). David received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Tennessee State University and completed graduate work at both Harvard Law School and the University of Michigan Law School. David is also a military veteran. He served in the United States Air Force as a Personnel and Administrative Officer and achieved the rank of Captain.

David Cohen

President, Athena Capital Management

David Cohen is the president of Minerva Advisors. Minerva is exclusively focused on investing in small and micro-cap value stocks using a rigorous value discipline across a wide range of industries. David earned his bachelor's degree from Haverford College.


Douglas Schoenberg

CEO, Softerware, Inc.

Douglas Schoenberg is the CEO of SofterWare and sits on the board of several nonprofits. In the 1990s, he pioneered the use of electronic payment processing in the childcare industry and been championing its efficiency and cost- and time-saving uses by non-profit and for-profit organizations. Doug earned his BS in Finance from Lehigh University.


Eric Schoenberg, PhD

Adjunct Associate Professor, Columbia University

Dr. Eric Schoenberg conducts research on the psychology of money and asset market bubbles and has taught behavioral economics, decision making, and leadership at Columbia Business School, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, NYU's Stern School of Business, and the Haas Business School of the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Schoenberg holds a PhD in Psychology from Columbia University, an MBA from the Wharton School, where he was a Palmer Scholar, an MSE in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and an AB in Biology from Harvard.
