IT Security Assessment

IT security assessments for higher education.

With higher education institutions a top target for hackers, cybersecurity has never been more important. CampusWorks’ IT Security Assessment helps colleges and universities identify threats, remediate risks, and improve information security governance, compliance, data protection, and privacy programs. The assessment includes a two-day site visit by one of CampusWorks’ certified chief information security officers (CISO) and covers the following:

  1. Internet-based threats assessment and penetration testing
  2. Network infrastructure assessment
  3. Critical network and computing assets assessment
  4. User computing environment assessment
  5. Physical and environmental security assessment
  6. Wireless network security assessment
  7. Policies, procedures, and documentation assessment

At the close of the onsite visit, CampusWorks’ CISO will present a “First Look” to your institution’s management team, sharing the preliminary security findings, providing a framework for addressing critical findings, and inviting additional input from your leadership team. CampusWorks’ security team will return to campus shortly after the assessment to present the Information Security Action Plan and Roadmap.
