January 4, 2010, DAWSON CREEK, BC - CampusWorks Inc. (CWI), an information technology management firm specializing exclusively in higher education solutions, has signed a multi-year technology management services contract with Northern Lights College, a regional college located in northern British Columbia, Canada.
CampusWorks and NLC have had a working relationship since 2006, when CampusWorks completed an extensive review of the College’s IT infrastructure. Under the terms of the contract, CampusWorks will provide Northern Lights College with a cadre of highly experienced IT management professionals including coverage for the Chief Information Officer function, Infrastructure Project Management, and Datatel Applications.
CampusWorks will work with talented staff members at all levels of the College to develop and implement an integrated administrative and instructional Technology Operational Plan using CampusWorks’ best practices in this area. CampusWorks will also provide Corporate Resource Specialists for ongoing subject matter and technical support for remediation/ performance tuning activities and new projects. CampusWorks’ network/ infrastructure, IT security, instructional technology and administrative systems specialists will address the tasks prioritized by the College Administration Committee.
Northern Lights College, which opened in 1975, is celebrating its 35th anniversary as a college in September 2010. The College serves students in an area covering more than 320,000 square kilometers with a population of about 70,000 in northern British Columbia.
