April 20, 2009, SARASOTA, FL – CampusWorks Inc., an information technology management firm specializing exclusively in higher education solutions, announced today that Dr. Harold D. McAninch has accepted an invitation to join its team as a principal consultant.
Named as president emeritus of The College of DuPage, IL, Dr. McAninch also recently completed an assignment as its interim president, and is currently acting in an advisory role for the College. Dr. McAninch is highly respected as a visionary by the College, which honored him in October 1998 by renaming the Arts Center at College of DuPage “The Harold D. McAninch Arts Center”.
For nearly 40 years, Dr. McAninch has made significant contributions to higher education, both as president and senior administrator. In addition to fifteen years at The College of DuPage, his assignments include eight years as president of Joliet Junior College, IL, and two years as president of Jackson Community College, MI.
Dr. McAninch’s career includes leadership of professional, community, and civic organizations, notably serving as former board chair of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC). His work includes an impressive list of articles published in higher education journals and many professional presentations. Dr. McAninch holds a doctoral degree from the University of Missouri, an M.S. from Loyola University of Chicago, an M.A. from the University of Arkansas and a B.S. from Missouri State University. Dr. McAninch is also a past recipient of the Association of Community College Trustees’ Marie Y. Martin CEO of the Year Award.
As a member of the Senior Consulting team, Dr. McAninch will utilize his broad experience to advise and assist our community college colleagues in achieving their strategic goals.
