May 15, 2009, SARASOTA, FL - CampusWorks Inc. (CWI), an information technology management firm specializing exclusively in community college solutions, announced that Red Deer College in Alberta, Canada has extended its IT contract with CWI for three years until June 2015—creating a nine-year IT partnership.

In 2006, CWI was selected to furnish a technology management and staff augmentation team for Red Deer College. Since that time, President Ron Woodward has been impressed by CWI’s quality and depth of work and progress. For example, during the first few months of the contract, CWI renegotiated the College’s telecommunications contract and not only avoided a significant increase, but actually reduced the cost.  

Under the agreement extension, CWI will continue to provide a project delivery team under the direction of Dale Jarrell, CWI’s vice president and general manager of Canadian operations. The team’s high caliber leadership skills and expertise will assist the College in planning and implementing all current and new IT initiatives, providing day-to-day technical supervision to improve daily workflow and security, and offering guidance to College technical staff.

Mr. Jarrell received commendation from Woodward regarding CWI; “RDC has enjoyed a positive and productive partnership with CampusWorks for the past three years. The expertise and leadership provided by CampusWorks’ staff have resulted in improved customer service from our Information Services Department and better value for our capital and operating investments.”

This extension adds to CWI’s long-term partnerships with community colleges throughout North America. CWI has signed similar technology management contract extensions with Bunker Hill Community College, MA, Grand Rapids Community College, MI, and Middlesex Community College.
