Gulf Coast Community College Selects CampusWorks to
Lead a Comprehensive IT Assessment and Review

October 24, 2007, Sarasota, FL – CampusWorks (CWI), an Information Technology management and solutions firm specializing exclusively in technology management and planning services for community colleges, is pleased to announce a contract with Gulf Coast Community College.

Gulf Coast Community College chose CampusWorks to lead a comprehensive IT Second Opinion assessment and planning overview and to adapt CampusWorks’ learner-centered technology model.  CampusWorks technology planning effort will utilize a “best practice” approach which permits a comprehensive review of the current and projected state of technology at GCCC and an exploration of the adaptation of new emerging technologies. CampusWorks was selected due to a positive track record and IT staff expertise in performing similar IT assessments and planning services throughout North America.

Under this new contract, CampusWorks will provide a Project Delivery Team to perform a comprehensive technology review and analysis of all information technology.  This review and analysis will provide GCCC with a tactical plan overview that can be used to strengthen its technology infrastructure and prepare for future initiatives.

GCCC, celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, enrolls over 20,000 students with over 8,000 fulltime students on its four campuses.  Located in Panama City, FL, Gulf Coast is one of 28 public community colleges in the State.  The College serves primarily the residents of Florida’s Bay, Gulf, and Franklin counties.
