Track Record
Client satisfaction and commendations are the best evidence of CampusWorks' ability to be a proven information technology “partner” to its higher education clients. The best way to demonstrate this ability to be well respected as a “delivery agent” is to share the previous and current success stories of our clients and use their words to attest to our ability to ensure project success.
CampusWorks has served a number of Chancellors, Presidents and Trustees who were facing a great many IT challenges and could not risk failure – or anything that even resembled it. These leaders demanded high-caliber IT specialists and managers … in other words, the best. These leaders also required outstanding “best practices” and corporate methodologies that had proven successful over and over again. They demanded “on time and on budget” results that exceeded their expectations. And CampusWorks met their demands.
Based on this proven success formula, CampusWorks has earned the reputation among community colleges as a provider of premier information technology leadership and support services. The experience and high-caliber of CampusWorks' Senior IT Executives and its functional and technical staff, attested to by the satisfaction of our clients, is the cornerstone of this reputation. Following are a select few of the many accolades that CampusWorks is proud to share with one and all.

Middlesex Community College, MA
President Carole A. Cowan
"Information Technology operations at community colleges continue to be an important strategic tool in an increasingly competitive environment. To realize our technology vision, Middlesex Community College needed to supplement our IT team with a partner that could provide seasoned and experienced technology management and leadership. CampusWorks is that partner.
Our strategic objectives for data security, network stability, instructional technology and Banner supported operations could not be met without CampusWorks’ assistance. Their access to senior IT talent and willingness to adapt to our resource needs has made them invaluable to our success. In fact, CWI’s role was essential in the recent re-implementation of Banner Financial Aid, which has undoubtedly contributed to our steady increase in enrollment over the past year. Middlesex was proud to be one of the first public Colleges in Massachusetts to certify as PCI Compliant.
We would not be able to do the things we do, the way we do them today, without CampusWorks here. The partnership with CampusWorks is one of the best technology decisions the College has made."

Middlesex Community College, MA
Executive Vice President, Jay Linnehan
"Campus Works has been a tremendous asset to Middlesex Community College. Trying to keep pace with technology is a daunting task. The expectations for technology availability and use are constantly increasing. At the same time, financial resources are decreasing. The College must continue to invest in technology and cannot afford to make a bad decision – with its financial or human resources. Prior to partnering with Campus Works this was a concern of mine. But now I can take on projects with confidence that they are technically well conceived and fiscally well balanced. I’m very pleased with CampusWorks’ budget conscious yet forward-thinking approach.
Campus Works fully understands the role that effective budget management must play, especially during these difficult financial times. With the added expertise CampusWorks brings, we’ve been able to execute an effective transition to Banner finance products, enhance our system security and compliance and implement an effective Business Continuity Plan. We were proud to be among the first of the Massachusetts Community College’s to achieve PCI Compliance.
With all that’s going on these days, I’ve got enough to worry about. I’m glad technology is no longer one of my worries."

Vice President, Business & Administrative Services, Jami VanEss
Vice President, Jami VanEss sent the following accolades to CampusWorks regarding the CampusWorks' Project Delivery Team and assigned technology leadership:
“Before contracting with Campus Works, Inc., the College was experiencing several challenges with our systems. Since our campus covers 18,000 square mile, we rely on the network to serve students at distant locations and our technology had become increasingly unreliable. We needed an immediate solution that was effective and efficient, but did not want to outsource our entire IT department. Campus Works offered a solution that was the best fit for our organization and had immediate results that we needed. Mr. David Hakanson has been a wonderful fit to our organization and I no longer hear complaints about IT.”

Since meeting Julie for the first time, I immediately admired her positive attitude and her willingness to help and support whatever initiative we could envision. In addition, she is able to take a project from square one through to completion while ensuring that all stakeholders have input and are involved.
Finally, it has been a blessing to work with an employee that is able to follow through and complete projects on time and very thoroughly. Julie has been an asset to supporting our goal of creating an effortless and indispensable Blackboard environment here at GRCC.

Grand Rapids Community College, MI
Highlights from President Juan Olivarez Address to Learner Resources and Technology Solutions (LRTS) Staff :
CampusWorks Tactical Plan Developed by CampusWorks and the GRCC IT staff: [ Watch Video clip ]
“This Tactical Plan has become our blueprint for what we said was going to be done and what needed to be done if we were to become the learning college that we wanted to be. This Tactical Plan has become a model around the country. I have presidents from around the country calling and asking for a copy or for advice. Everyone who sees it says it is the best Plan they have ever seen. And do you know why? Because it connects technology to learning and it connects technology to students and student success.”
CampusWorks IT Best Practices: [ Watch Video clip ]
“Another one of GRCC objectives is to provide technology support resources to faculty and staff to facilitate ‘best practices’ technology enhancements. We have learned a lot of best practices because of engagement with CampusWorks. It has been very important for us, in this engagement (with CampusWorks) in terms of the opportunities we have had to understand best practices from around the country and around the world. This has been very, very important to us as we have moved along this past year and a half. And this was all about improving teaching, growing our distance learning programs, and also to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of what we are doing with technology.”
CampusWorks Expertise & Cost Effectiveness with PeopleSoft Enhancements: [ Watch Video clip ]
“A lot of work has been accomplished around PeopleSoft and we are definitely seeing the return on investment, more than we ever have. We are also seeing a return on investment with Blackboard, the course management system, and lots has been done in that area. Part of both of these successes has been the expertise that CampusWorks has been able to bring in because of our engagement. We could never hire--we could never afford-- all of the people on board that it takes to do the job that we have to do today without CampusWorks. The flexibility that we have in terms of the pool of experts that CampusWorks works with is an incredible advantage for us.”

October 4, 2005
Middlesex Community College, MA
Evelyn Clements, Vice President for Student Development, wrote to CWI to say…
"CampusWorks provided MCC with exemplary technology management service, leadership and access to specialists who ensured our faculty were well supported as they created and utilized on-line courses to enrich their learner outcomes. CWI supported our students as they applied for admission and financial aid, registered for classes and checked their progress toward graduation on the web. Equally important, CWI helped our staff to use our new Student Information system to provide better and more efficient services to our students and faculty.
I know you will agree with me that nothing can be more frustrating for students, faculty and staff than technology that is not working efficiently or reliably on campus. In contrast, an effective level of technology services can make the college experience a pleasure for students and truly can lift morale for faculty and staff. CampusWorks made that happen at Middlesex CC. After this experience, when I think of CampusWorks, I think of excellence, competence and the highest level of quality."

Middlesex Community College, MA
Lois Alves, Vice President for Enrollment Services, Research and Planning wrote to CWI to say
"CampusWorks has had a tremendous impact on students, faculty and administrative staff at Middlesex Community College. As a result of their work we now have a robust network infrastructure that links our campuses and provides fast, reliable access to educational and administrative technology using up-to-date hardware in our classrooms and offices; our faculty are well well-supported as they create and implement on-line courses and use technology to enrich their on-campus classes; and our students are able to apply for admission and financial aid, register for classes and check their progress toward graduation on the web.
As Vice President for Enrollment Services, Research and Planning, I am especially appreciative of the expertise provided by CampusWorks that has allowed my staff to use our student information system to provide better, more efficient services to our students and faculty. One example is Getting Started, the new cost-effective, high tech-high touch student orientation, academic advising and registration process that has been implemented at Middlesex. These sessions combine the use of on-line academic advising resources such as the SCT Banner degree audit, course prerequisite checking, course descriptions, class schedules, degree requirements and web registration; a concise student profile that summarizes all of the student's pertinent academic history, test scores and transfer goals and the individual attention of an academic counselor to help us make sure that we are getting our students off to a good start.
In addition to yourself, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge the efforts of all the technical and functional, "just in time" experts that CampusWorks has supplied in support of these important initiatives."
