CampusWorks’ Services include Second Opinion IT Assessments, Emerging Technology Board Retreats, Legacy Migration Project Management, and CWI’s unique Co-Sourcing model of on-site IT Management Services. Please link to our Services pages for a full description of these and other CWI Technology Consulting services.

CampusWorks maintains an up-to-date library of proven best practices and proprietary methodologies, including Technology Assessments, Business Case Development, Tactical Technology Planning (TPM2005), CWI’s Four-Phase Legacy Migration Approach, CWI’s Business Process Review Methodology, and CWI’s Total Cost of Ownership/ROI Analysis.  All methodologies provide clients with key decision-making capabilities, long-term implementation strategies, and/or highly successful systems implementations. Most often, CWI’s services include a level of on-site consulting or project management using CWI’s Project Delivery Team (PDT) approach.

CampusWorks understands the strategic considerations facing higher education leaders.  Cost containment, functional area best practices, ROI, risk management, business continuity, emerging technologies, marketing, web services, vendor management, agency and external relationships, and funding sources are but a few.  CampusWorks understands the industry standard application systems (ERP), their capabilities and their impact on an institution’s strategic considerations. CWI specialists possess in-depth knowledge of SCT Banner, Datatel Colleague, Peoplesoft and other ERP systems in use in higher education. Other specialists possess equally in-depth knowledge of the server, network, and desktop environment, including vendor and product knowledge as well as best practice service delivery.
Before contracting with CWI, many current client CEO's had questions and concerns about their IT operations:

  • What are some of the latest trends and directions technology is headed within the Higher Education arena?
  • Am I planning or allocating my scarce IT dollars effectively?
  • Do I need to augment my IT leadership team and technical staff?
  • What additional staff and financial resources do I need to migrate (or complete the migration) to new administrative software support systems?
  • How can I engage my faculty and respond to the growing demand for new instructional technologies, web-based learning capabilities and a distance-learning environment?
